323: Where have all the reporters gone?

…to cover different mayoralty races.  Election night.

A photo, every day, all year. We’re into final weeks here with Andrea Woo.

121: Osama is dead

May 1, 2011

Osama is dead (iPhone 4 - May 1, 2011)

I was out with my soccer team this evening when word came out that Osama Bin Laden was dead.  We only caught it because after the hockey game, CBC went into news program and along the bottom of the screen: “Reports: Bin Laden dead”.

I am so often around newsies that it was neat to see everyone’s reactions.  Some were psyched, like me, to hear what could have been one of Barack Obama’s most important speeches.  Others ignored it, the same way they will ignore their duties as a citizen tomorrow.

Vote. Tomorrow.Vote.

Or you’re letting the terrorists win.

This is part of a daily photo throwdown with Andrea Woo.

107: Expect Dix jokes

April 17, 2011

Mike Farnworth. I thought he had it. I was wrong. (Rebel XTi - April 17th, 2011)

Didn’t see Adrian Dix winning. And while I don’t think he is a bad choice for the party, I do wonder about the outside perceptions, for instance, that he is far left.

It may have hurt the party’s chance at winning in the next election.

Just sayin.

57: Halo effect

He didn't win the leadership of the BC Liberals. But he was there. (Canon Rebel XTi - February 27th, 2011)

Stopped by the BC Liberal Leadership vote this evening. You can see more photos on the News1130 flickr page, or when I eventually get around to uploading them on mine.

Andrea Woo was so impressed with my roasted chicken last night, she just had to have one.  I guess that evens things out since I copied this photo throwdown from her.
