All the small things: Food edition

November 8, 2009

I rag on Vancouver a lot.  But in the four plus years I’ve spent here, it hasn’t been all that bad.  I mean, we’re a week into November and there has been no snow. None.  Take that, Edmonton.  Read the rest of this entry ?

Ten.

May 21, 2009

grad1 Next weekend is my ten year high school reunion.

Will I be flying back to Edmonton for the event? (Which according to my facebook sleuthing seems to be two events – one for the so-called cool kids which I *wasn’t* invited to, and one for the rest of us.)

The answer, of course, is no.

Had my grandmother died two weeks later, maybe I’d be going. But even by being in Edmonton the same weekend as the event(s), I still don’t know if my sense of curiosity would be enough to draw me out.

Time is of the essence

December 19, 2006

In 6 hours I have to be up and catching a cab to the airport.

In other words, you’re not getting a post. You’re getting the promise of posts when I return to the winterland that is Edmonton.

In the meantime, stay sexy.

(I would post a really sexy picture of me here, but my computer/the internet is being a bitch.)

Going to the Stanley Cup Finals

June 10, 2006

Never in my wildest dreams, did I think I’d score tickets to the Stanley Cup finals. I knew that they were long sold out and ebay was well out of my price range.

You can imagine my shock and disbelief when I was magically rewarded for my ultimate fandom. Magic is the only possible reason that single tickets were available this morning.

Friends and family had first dibs on the 4 tickets that I had, yet surprisingly, no one took me up on them. Then went to friends of my brother and a fellow Oilfans member. Either way, I think these people wanted the tickets more than anyone.

So tonight, as I watch my first Oilers playoff game in 5 years, my third all-time, and first game outside of the first round, I can’t wait. The minutes are going slow, but fast, all at the same time.

I can’t tell you how excited I am.
